The ACT
Every time you go to class you're preparing for the ACT test.  The ACT is based on high school curriculum and is accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the US. The ACT contains multiple-choice tests in four area:  English, math, reading and science.  The ACT writing portion of the tests lets you show your skills in composing an essay.  It measures writing proficiencies that are taught in high school and are important for readiness to succeed in entry level college composition courses.

ACT Test Prep
36 University is a Test Prep site/course that is run by a former HHS Math Teacher, Dr. Shipley.  Our students who have taken his course have received beneficial tips for maximizing their ACT testing potential.
About his program:
For too long, prepping for the ACT has meant thick books or boring lectures. Research and experience tell us there are more effective ways to activate the learning process. 36U delivers instruction in compact, concentrated segments that are visually-stimulating and that cater to multiple learning styles, making even the most complex concepts understandable and memorable.
Our brain-compatible program has these key components:
  • Instruction is delivered through motion graphics videos – not lectures or PowerPoints.
  • Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles are activated simultaneously.
  • Lessons are attention span-sensitive with YouTube length videos, one page note-taking guides, and mini quizzes.
  • Hints and solutions provide immediate direction and feedback.
  • Progress tracking gives students a sense of accomplishment and highlights topics that need review.
Give yourself an edge. Make the best use of your time. Utilize 36U.
