How do I get a copy of my transcript? Fill out the request form on the school website, or come in to see the registrar.

How do I turn in my community service hours? Pick up a form from the main office and return the form to them as well.

How many Honors/AP classes do I need to graduate with Honors? 6 and a core GPA of at least 90. --Click here for a complete explanation

Do colleges accept both the ACT and the SAT? Generally yes, but you will want to check with your college(s) of choice to be sure.

What test is better for me to take, ACT or SAT? It really depends upon you as a student. With the recent changes to the SAT, they are more alike than ever!

Do you have any SAT or ACT prep courses? We do not offer any here at the school, but many of our students have had success with 36 University, which was founded by an HHS math teacher. A student can also link his or her PSAT score to Khan Academy for personalized SAT prep. See instructions for that by clicking Important Student Resources to the left.

How do I get an SAT/ACT fee waiver? Any students that qualify for free and reduced lunch need to see a counselor to pick up a waiver. Each student may have 2 in their high school career.

What is Dual Enrollment? This is a program in which students are dually enrolled at either GNTC or Dalton State and Heritage High School. Students take classes on the assigned campus that count as credit for both high school and college, at no cost to the student. We also offer in-person classes at HHS. Please see your counselor for more information.

How does Work Based Learning work? A student can participate in WBL in lieu of elective classes here at HHS. You must have completed a pathway to participate. Please see Mr. Butler in the Career Center for more information, or contact him at [email protected].

How does Catoosa Online Academy (COA) work? Students can take one or all of their classes online. This is not easier than taking classes in the building, in a lot of cases, it's harder, but does allow more flexibility for highly motivated students. This also requires the approval of an administrator. Please see your counselor for more information.

How do I leave for a half day my senior year? A student can participate in COA, WBL, or Dual Enrollment to leave school for a half day, but every student must be enrolled in 4 classes a day for their entire senior year.

Can I graduate early? No, Catoosa County Public Schools does not allow students to graduate early, but talk to your counselor about how to maximize the time you have left to best fit your needs.
